Every year, Georgia Tech’s largest hackathon organization throws 2 main hackathons, one of which is known as Horizons. At 2023’s horizons competition, my peers and I worked over 48 hours to submit a project to be judged and scored.
Our project was called Dorothy’s Book Bonanza: An educational game made with C that was designed to teach the player about the life and works of Dorothy M. Crosland, a trailblazer at Georgia Tech who was vital in the admittance of women into Georgia Tech.

Our group made this project using C and Docker, making the game logic in raw C, and then used mGBA, C and Docker together to manipulate memory addresses and display registers in order to make the graphics for the game. All of the graphics were hand made, pixel by pixel
